We are now searching for a professional and engaged Medical Advisor/MSL to support the Nordic team at Chiesi.

Profile

The role as Nordic MSL/Medical Advisor Respiratory requires a blend of strong scientific/clinical expertise and a high level of communication skill.  In addition, it is essential that you are a self-starter with a high level of motivation, whilst possessing the ability to work both independently or as part of a team as the situation demands.  A working knowledge of the pharma industry and a thorough understanding of the wider Healthcare system environment is highly desirable. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with a variety of internal and external customers on a daily basis.

This is a temporary assignment, initially until September 2026. You will be employed by Dedicare Denmark.

Responsibilities      

  • Provide fair and balanced field-based medical and scientific support in response to specific requests from healthcare professionals
  • Identify, develop and maintain professional and credible relationships with the health care community, especially Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and academic centres
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with the relevant patient organisations
  • Review and approve material developed by Marketing and Sales 
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with commercial, market access, as well as all other relevant functions, including regulatory and safety
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant products and relevant disease area in order to act as an expert medical resource
  • Project management of investigator initiated trial (IIT) applications 
  • Provide local input into company sponsored Phase II-IV clinical development activities, as required
  • Attend relevant national and international scientific meetings/congresses to ensure up-to-date knowledge of therapy area, gather competitive intelligence, and respond to any specific enquiries from healthcare professionals.
  • Produce and update scientific and clinical presentations for assigned therapeutic area
  • Provide support and training to the sales force and other departments
  • Contribute to the development of the Medical Affairs strategic plan, playing a lead role in the organisation and execution of advisory boards and symposia
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, internal processes and procedures for Pharmacovigilance.

Role requirements:

  • Medical, pharmacy, or higher science degree
  • Minimum two year experience in pharma industry
  • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders
  • Proven knowledge of Compliance and business ethics in Denmark
  • Good working knowledge of the clinical trial process, including the regulations pertaining to phase III/IV clinical study management and conduct
  • Good understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Good Pharmacovigilance Practice
  • Understanding of the wider Healthcare environment and key opportunities for pharma and the NHS to partner effectively within the scope of the ABPI Code of Practice
  • IT skills, including but not limited to use of MS Office software
  • Fluent in spoken and written Danish and English

Key competencies include:

  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Experience in the respiratory area  is an advantage.
  • Significant experience in similar roles in the pharmaceutical industry (minimum two years)
  • Organisational and project management skills and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team, as the situation demands
  • Ability to interpret and present complex clinical data in a clear manner to a variety of audiences
  • Drive to continuously expand medical and scientific knowledge
  • Strong Medical Affairs skills
  • Strong external stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to recognize links between clinical development and commercial opportunities
  • Willingness to travel
